About Us

The Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club (NBDBC) was formed in 1997 and has competed with great success in Mixed, Womens, Mens, Open and Veterans races since this time.

The NBDBC train at Manly on Sunday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday evenings, during the summer months. From August up until late October (before daylight saving) we train on Sundays only. Starting November we train on Sundays at 9am and on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. (We meet at the Manly Yacht Club). The NBDBC caters for all ages and we pride ourselves on being very sociable as well as competitive. By "sociable" we mean regular BBQ's, bowling, movies, paintball, picnics. The NBDBC club is currrently made up of Ozzies, Kiwi's, Poms, Scandinavians, Chinese, you name it - we may have it. The NBDBC welcomes all new paddlers who want to paddle in the tranquil surroundings of Manly Cove and surrounding Sydney harbour side beaches.
