Location
We are located on East Esplanade (at the Manly Yacht Club). East Esplanade is just left of Manly Wharf (if you are standing with your back to the Corso and facing Manly Wharf).  For a detailed map click here

What to bring
You're going to get splashed while training, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Most paddlers wear a T-shirt or rash vest, wet-suit shorts or boardies, and slip-on reef walking shoes. If you're coming for the first time, just wear a T-shirt, some old shorts or board shorts, and an old pair of sneakers or some thongs.  Make sure you also bring a towel and warm dry clothes to change into after training.  During warm weather, don’t forget your swim suit as we often sneak in a quick swim during a break from training.

Equipment
A water bottle is essential, as training sessions go for about one and a half hours. Some paddlers have a bottle carrier that goes around the waist to stop their bottles sliding around the boat, however this is not essential.  Sunglasses are recommended (they also help keep the salt water out of your eyes), as well as sunscreen. We have plenty of training paddles for new paddlers to borrow.

Crew Selection Criteria
Crews will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Attendance at training sessions
2. Off Water training session
3. Team Spirit
4. Trials (on water, erg, strength, cardio)
5. Advance nomination for a particular event or regatta
6. Weight-power ratio
7. Willingness to sit in any seat in the boat, as directed by coaches
