AGM at Manly Yacht Club Wed 27th Aug 2008

We are having our AGM on Wednesday 27th August at the Manly Yacht Club meeting at 6.30pm for a start at 7.00pm PROMPTLY.

There will be no food or alcohol available until the meeting is concluded promptly at 9.00pm. Then, we can move next door to the Skiff Club for a beverage if you wish.

There is no need to reply to me about your attendance, I hope to see you there so we can work together to take the club up the next level and win some bling for the boys this season!!

Open Womens Team Raffle

Annual General Meeting Announcement
22 August 2007
The Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club will hold their AGM on Friday, 24 August 2007 from 7.00pm – 9.00pm in the upstairs function rooms at the Dee Why RSL.

This will include end of season reports as well as the election of new committee members. Anyone interested in getting involved with the running of the club, we have a number of positions available. Please see attached for more information.

All members are invited to attend.

The agenda will be circulated the week prior to the meeting.

End of Season Presentations
13 April 2007

The end of year presentations will be held on Friday 11 May at the Skiff Club, Manly. The presentation will be held over dinner and drinks will be available for purchase. Every one is welcome. Please contact Cass for further information.

Success at the State Championships
25 March 2007

NBDBC would like to congratulate the ladies team for the success at the State Championships which were held at Penrith yesterday. The ladies came second in a very competitive field (NSW being the strongest dragon boating state in Australia).

Chinese New Year Dinner

NBDBC will be hosting its famous annual Chinese New Year dinner on Friday 16 February 2007. This will be at the Brookvale Chinese Seafood Restaurant at 7.30pm. Looking forward to a fabulous night of team bonding, dining and karaoke. Please contact Cass for attendance confirmation.

Chinese New Year Darling Harbour Races

NBDBC Christmas Party

The NBDBC Christmas party will be held at the Manly Skiff Club on Thursday 14 December. All members, partners, children and drummer girls are welcome. There will be finger food provided. Drinks at club prices. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Rock & Bowl at Diggers on the Park - 21 October 2006
Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club invite you to come and join us at Diggers on the Park for an evening of barefoot bowls, entertainment, beer and bonding.

WHERE: Diggers on the Park, Raglan St, Manly.
DATE:   Saturday 21st October
TIME:    5pm onwards
COST:  $25 per head (Money will be collected by Cass at training or on the night)
RSVP:   By Thursday 12th October to Cass (0414 212 722 / )

Get in quick as there is only 50 places available. First come first served

Full bar facilities and food will be available at an additional cost on the night. Hope you can make it!

Paintball Day - 18 November 2006
Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club invite you to join us for a day of Paintball. This is one of the fastest action packed adventure sports in the world. It promises to be a fun, adrenalin charged experience where quick thinking, luck, daring and teamwork are the essence of good players.

VENUE: 762 Springwood Rd, Yarramundi (Approx 10 mins from Penrith Regatta Centre)
DATE: Saturday 18th November 2006.
TIME: 7.30am sharp for safety briefing. Est finish 1.30pm
COST: $75 per person (includes a BBQ lunch)

New Season Starting
21 August 2006

The 2006/2007 dragon boating season will be commencing soon. The NBDBC will be conducting 2 open days to kick off the season and get as many new paddlers into the club as possible. For more information on the open days, view the homepage of this website.

Also take note of the 2006/2007 season calendar which will be updated over the coming weeks/months as we get more information about events and finalise our new training schedule.
