DBNSW INC SWEEP ACCREDITATION SCHEME
09 September 2008
The DBNSW Inc Sweep Accreditation Scheme has been operating for a number of years now, using a simple method of
classification – ie listing sweeps as either provisionally or fully accredited (in accord with the AusDBF Sweep Scheme).
The development of the scheme – combined with steady growth of the sport into regional areas – has led us to modify
the way we classify the many sweeps operating within New South Wales. The scheme is a ‘work in progress’.
The ‘new’ classification system currently in use evolved from submissions and discussions held during the Sweeps
Forum (DBNSW 2005 AGM), by considering grading systems of other activities, and by looking at the broad range of
experience (or potential skills) that a sweep may have. The classification system came in to effect in November 2005.
Note: The ‘enhanced’ DBNSW sweep classifications does not alter the AusDBF system under which we also operate.
